October Variety Swap

A tenuous link to Halloween for this months swap! The theme is "Masks". You can do any sort of mask you like, big or small. The examples I have made:
The first one is about 4inches high - I made it with clay, using a mould, then put gesso on it and painted it white. I stamped and embossed the image onto tissue paper then pasted it onto the mask with pva glue and drew in the mouth and eyes with permanent marker pen. The second one is made from board, coloured with ink pads, stamped and embossed then the edge glued and glittered, a few gems and fibres to finish off. hope you will have a go!

Christmas word book 2

this one follows a 'book' format, the rules for the swap will be:
up to 5 letters maximum, and can be any word to do with Christmas, no longer than DL in length, and no wider than A5, decorated in any style as long as it's a Christmas theme.
To be completed by the middle of November to post early December.
Enjoy!

Christmas word book

My first upload to the forum blog!! Details for the swap will be on the Christmas Crafting Thread.
I made my own template for the snow lady, this is to show that you don't have to stick to the book format, I used inks, paper and small snowflake stamps.

September Variety Swap

Septembers swap is an altered board book. NO BIND IT ALLs please! must be a board book, they are easy to find in the charity shop (or the kids toy box!) The one I have used is about 5in x 5in. It had far too many pages so I cut some out to leave 5 pages in total but you can do as many as you like.
The theme is "FRIENDSHIP" the style is VINTAGE.
Have fun........

July Variety Swap

The Variety swap this month is a nice easy one - "Have a Heart" is the title!
You can make anything you like but it must have hearts in it or on it somewhere! The 2 examples are:
A fridge magnet, made from a 2" square canvas painted white, over stamped with words and hearts then glittered and topped with a utee heart wrapped in ribbon & a gem added.
A paperweight, made from a lump of clay left quite rough for texture, coloured with purple & silver metallic rub-on wax into which I stuck curled wires topped with utee hearts added ribbons & gems & finally an acetate butterfly. (I meant to put beads on the curly bits but forgotuntil it was too late!!lol)

June Variety swap

Ok - this months swap. Iwould like you to make 3 sachets or mini cushions. Dont worry, no sewing required unless you want to!! The examples here are made from handmade or mulberry paper and glued, then edged with fancy scissors or ribbon. The three I will use for the swap are all the same (but they dont have to be) I have stacked & tied them together.

May Variety Swap - card & corner bookmark

This months swap is a fairly easy one!

First, make a card with any theme you like - then take an envelope (it can be an old one if you like) seal it down then measure 2 - 3inches from one corner, down and across, to create a triangle & cut this off. This is the corner bookmark. Decorate to co-ordinate with the card.
